Hindustan Power, an India-based integrated power generation company, has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL). The agreement covers a 435 MW DC solar project to be developed in Uttar Pradesh. The company secured the project through a competitive bidding process conducted by UPPCL in April 2025. As per Hindustan Power, the project supports the state government’s clean energy target of achieving 22 GW installed capacity by FY27. The facility is expected to contribute significantly to local employment and regional economic activity. According to Hindustan Power, all project phases including site development and coordination with stakeholders are progressing as planned. The company is positioning this development as part of its broader strategy to deliver clean, reliable power while supporting Uttar Pradesh’s economic vision of becoming a trillion-dollar economy.
