Hindustan Power, an independent power producer, has started building a 435 MW solar project in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. The project was given by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) in April 2025 through a competitive bidding process. It will supply electricity to the state for the next 25 years. The company has not disclosed project cost or tariff details. The initiative is expected to support local employment and regional development. Hindustan Power has a global portfolio of renewable and transitional energy assets. Its operations are primarily focused on India’s high-growth power market. The Lalitpur project adds to the company’s growing clean energy footprint across the country.
