Hartek Power, an India-based renewable energy company, has secured a INR 353.77 crore(~ $ 42.6 million) engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC)contract for an integrated solar-plus-storage project in Karnataka. According to Hartek Power, the scope has covered a 280 MW AC / 410 MWp DC solar plant combined with an 80 MW / 320 MWh battery energy storage system at Challakere. The company has been awarded responsibilities including design, engineering, supply, erection, and commissioning of the facility. One year of operations and maintenance was included within the agreed scope. The integrated configuration has supported management of solar intermittency and grid balancing requirements. As per Hartek Power, the project structure has reflected increasing adoption of utility-scale solar paired with storage in India’s power sector, where generation and dispatch flexibility were addressed through combined EPC delivery.
