Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd., an India-based state utility, has reported that Gujarat’s large-scale solar installations rose 88 percent year-on-year in Q3 2025. Mercom India Research, a Bengaluru-based market intelligence firm, has stated that the state added about 1.2 GW in the quarter and exceeded 25 GW of cumulative capacity by September. Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an India-based industry association, has noted that new capacity additions were progressing in Kutch as PPAs were executed. Prozeal Green Energy Limited, an Ahmedabad-based renewable developer, has said that developers were accelerating commissioning ahead of the ALMM II requirement. Mercom India Research has added that this activity followed improved post-monsoon conditions and the upcoming domestic-cell mandate scheduled for June 2026.
