IndiaGroup Surya, parent company of Surya International Enterprise Limited, has commissioned a G12R solar module manufacturing line in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The facility is the first in the state capable of producing G12R solar modules. The automated production line has an annual capacity of 500 MW and operates at a cycle time of 20–25 seconds per module. The Bhubaneswar facility is planning to scale manufacturing capacity to 1 GW within the next 4–5 months. Module output ranges from 450 W to 735 W for utility-scale, commercial, and residential applications. The production line supports multiple technologies including TOPCon, HJT, bifacial, half-cut, and dual-glass module configurations. AI-based inspection systems are integrated across the fully automated line to monitor production quality. The system maintains fewer than 5 defects per 10,000 modules and enables a 97–98 % reduction in manufacturing defects.
