Grew Solar, Gujarat-based manufacturer of PV modules, has secured a INR 2,028 crore(~ $245 million) supply contract from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited. According to Grew Solar, the contract covers supply of about 1,464.5 MW solar modules. The solar modules will be manufactured and supplied from Grew Solar’s Rajasthan facility within one year. As per Grew Solar, the supplies are scheduled across several sites under ongoing project development. Grew Solar has commissioned 1.2 GW module manufacturing capacity at Dudu, Rajasthan. By 2025, Grew Solar has scaled its operational module capacity to 3 GW. Grew Solar is expanding the Dudu facility to 11 GW of module manufacturing capacity. The company is also establishing a solar cell plant in Madhya Pradesh for backward integration. NTPC Renewable Energy Limited is deploying the modules across multiple solar project locations in Uttar Pradesh.
