Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPCL), a Vadodara-headquartered utility engaged in thermal and renewable power generation, has reported that it commissioned the 150 MW fourth phase of its planned 600 MW solar project at the 2,375 MW Renewable Energy Park in Khavda. The commissioning has increased GIPCL’s operational capacity at the site to 465 MW, as the phased development strategy was progressing across the Great Rann of Kutch. As per GIPCL, this milestone was achieved during a period in which the company recorded a 38.7 decline in net profit to INR 21.30 crore, while quarterly sales rose 16.4% to INR 321.40 crore in Q2 FY26 over Q2 FY25, reflecting mixed financial conditions alongside project expansion.
