Galaxy Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd., an India-based solar manufacturing company, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Maharashtra. According to the Press Information Bureau, the MoU was executed during Advantage Vidarbha 2026 in Nagpur involving a INR 10,080 crore (~ $110.88 billion) investment focused on manufacturing activities. As per the announcement, the project involves establishing an integrated solar and battery energy storage manufacturing plant. The proposed manufacturing facility is planned to be located within Nagpur district of Maharashtra. The MoU was signed on Day 2 of the investment summit alongside several other agreements. The Galaxy Solar project was reported as the largest investment commitment announced during the event. According to the release, other MoUs covered infrastructure manufacturing and healthcare development projects. The combined investment agreements concluded during the summit are anticipated to generate over 6,000 employment opportunities.
