Exxaro Tiles, a tile manufacturer based in Gujarat, has set up a 5 MW DC captive solar power project at its Talod manufacturing plant in Sabarkantha district. The project is expected to reduce energy costs at the facility by around 30%, resulting in estimated annual savings of INR 5.67 crore (~ $680,400). Exxaro Tiles operates two manufacturing plants in Gujarat with a combined production capacity of 132 lakh square meters and exports its vitrified and glazed tiles to over 15 countries, including the US and Canada.
