The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has recorded proceedings on a petition filed by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) seeking tariff adoption. The petition covers 2 GW of PV power portfolio integrated with 1 GW / 4 GWh of energy storage capacity and connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS). The assets were selected through a competitive bidding process conducted by SECI in line with Government of India guidelines. During the hearing held in January 2026, SECI clarified that the petition was limited to the adoption of tariffs for the selected projects. It was also recorded that none of the respondents filed objections to the tariff adoption request. After considering the submissions placed on record, the Commission reserved its order. The outcome will determine the adoption of tariffs applicable to these grid-connected PV projects integrated with energy storage.
