India-based Ceigall India Ltd has announced it had received a Letter of Award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. The award was for developing 190 MW (AC) solar photovoltaic projects under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0.The projects, spread across four districts in Maharashtra, involved an EPC cost of INR 712.16 crore including GST. Ceigall was to build, operate and maintain the plants and supply power under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement. The projects were required to be executed within 18 months, with operations continuing for the contractual period. The order was awarded by a domestic entity and did not fall under related party transactions. The company’s shares closed 1.25% lower on October 3 and had declined 24% in the year.
