Ceigall India, an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company, has secured a Letter of Award for a 220 MW solar project with battery energy storage. The project is valued at INR 1,700 crore (~ $ 187.69 million). The project is awarded by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd under a tariff-based competitive bidding mechanism, with a quoted tariff of INR 2.70 per kWh. It is planned to be developed at the Morena Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh. Construction is scheduled to be completed within 24 months after which the project will operate for 25 years. The company also stated that integrating BESS with solar generation was intended to support peak power management and improve dispatch reliability.
