Telangana-based Bondada Engineering received approval from the Andhra Pradesh Energy Department to develop 2 GW AC / 2.6 GW DC solar projects across Ananthapuramu and Sri Sathya Sai districts. The proposal, cleared by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) on May 15, 2025, includes multiple villages in Roddam, Kothacheruvu, Gooty, Peddavadugur, Vidapanakallu, Peddapappur, and Narpala mandals. The allocation is subject to avoid overlap with existing renewable or wind study zones. The project is to be completed within 24 months under the 2024 Clean Energy Policy. The INR 9,000 crore (~$1.05 billion) order raised the company’s order book to INR 14,000 crore (~$1.643 billion), with ₹1,160 crore IPP revenue expected from FY 2029.
