India-headquartered Bluebird Solar, a part of the Bluebird Group, has announced a capacity expansion at its Greater Noida facility from 1.2GW to 2.5GW, with operations set to begin by October 2025.The expansion supports India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat program and follows schemes like PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and PM-KUSUM. The upgraded facility includes fully automated production lines and uses AI for quality checks. It will make ALMM, BIS, and IEC-certified solar PV modules for rooftop and large-scale solar projects. Over 500 direct and indirect jobs are likely to be created, helping the local economy and supporting India’s solar goals.
