Adani Solar, an Ahmedabad-based manufacturer of photovoltaic modules and part of the Adani Group, has achieved a shipment milestone exceeding 15,000 MW of solar modules across domestic and international markets. According to Adani Solar, around 10,000 MW of these modules were deployed within India and 5,000 MW exported abroad, equivalent to nearly 28 million modules covering about 7,500 football fields. The company said that nearly 70 percent of these modules were produced using India-made solar cells, supporting the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. Adani Solar plans to expand its manufacturing capacity from 4,000 MW to 10,000 MW by the next financial year and aims to ship another 15,000 MW subsequently, as India’s solar capacity continues to grow rapidly.
