Adani Green Energy hits 15 GW operational renewable capacity in India

India’s renewable sector has seen a record growth as Adani Green Energy reached 15.5 GW with rapid solar wind and hybrid additions completed in 15 months.

Adani Green Energy has achieved 15.5 GW of installed renewable energy capacity in India. The portfolio includes 11 GW of solar, 2.5 GW of wind-solar hybrid, and nearly 2 GW of wind capacity. The company added 3.3 GW in FY25, the highest by any player in a single year, with Khavda contributing 5.3 GW as part of the world’s largest renewable energy plant. AGEL now accounts for around 15 percent of India’s utility-scale solar installations and 12 percent of the country’s combined utility solar and wind capacity. This places AGEL among the top ten global renewable independent power producers.This helped Adani to become the country’s largest renewable energy player.
