ACME Solar commissions 52.5 MW phase at Sikar project in Bikaner

India-based ACME Solar Holdings brought online the first 52.5 MW phase of its 300 MW Sikar solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. With this, its operational capacity increased to 2,592.5 MW. The project is in a high solar irradiation zone and spans 1,300 acres. Power is pooled at inverter stations and stepped up for evacuation to the Bikaner-II grid via a 220 kV transmission line. The project is financed by PFC Ltd and is expected to generate 780 million units annually once fully commissioned. Power will be sold on exchanges on a merchant basis. ACME Solarโ€™s total portfolio stood at 6,970 MW, with 4,377.5 MW under development. Recently, ACME Solar secured INR 2,491 crore from SBI and REC to refinance 490 MW renewable projects across Andhra Pradesh.ย
