A Renewable energy company based in the Philippines, ACEN and UPC Renewables have started building two major renewable energy projects in India. The projects includes a 420 MW solar farm in Rajasthan and a 120 MW wind farm in Karnataka. Both are planned to be finished by early 2027. Together, they can produce 1,158 GWh of clean electricity every year. This is enough to power about 241,000 homes and cut over 876,000 tons of carbon emissions each year. The solar farm in Rajasthan is in Barmer and will produce 767 GWh of electricity yearly. The Karnataka wind farm will deliver 391 GWh using strong wind patterns. Over 1,500 jobs are being created during construction. These projects expand ACEN and UPC’s existing 630 MW renewable portfolio in India.ACEN Australia also closed AUD 750M financing to expand clean energy, recently.
