Estonia-based Inbank has completed its first synthetic securitization, securing PLN 635 million (~$163 million) in loans for solar panel installations in Polish households. The initiative, in partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Investment Fund (EIF), supports Poland’s green energy transition. As per Inbank, the EIB Group guaranteed PLN 625 million (~$160 million) across senior and mezzanine tranches, marking its first fully green InvestEU securitization in Poland. This collaboration enables Inbank to offer up to PLN 701 million (~$180 million) in new loans over three years for solar panels and heat pumps. The initiative aligns with the EU’s RepowerEU goals to boost energy independence. Inbank claims the financing will make sustainable energy more accessible to households, advancing EU sustainability objectives.
