Nordic energy company Ilmatar has submitted an environmental permit application for the Tönnersjö solar farm in Sweden, surpassing 1GW in solar energy permit applications. Spanning 450 hectares and boasting a capacity of over 450MW, the farm is set to power more than 23,000 households, directly connecting to the national grid. Emphasizing a sustainable approach, Ilmatar selects areas with minimal ecological impact, prioritizing production forests over agricultural land. The Tönnersjö project not only promotes renewable energy but also supports biodiversity and aims to restore Halland's lost moorland landscape, aligning perfectly with Silvestica Green Forest's environmental goals.
