Renewable energy developer Hive Energy has expanded its Polish presence by acquiring 272 MW of early-stage PV capacity from T&T Proenergy. This acquisition builds on their 2023 partnership, where Hive acquired three additional PV projects in Poland. Both companies aim to co-develop a minimum 700 MW PV portfolio in the region, with potential for further collaboration. Poland’s recent policy changes have spurred renewable energy growth, with wind and solar now exceeding 20% of the country’s electricity (up from 16% in 2022), aligning with its goal of 70% clean energy by 2030.
