Helexia, a company specializing in energy performance and decarbonized energy production, has reached 100 MW of installed solar capacity in distributed generation in Brazil. This milestone was achieved by connecting 18 solar plants across various states between September 2023 and April 2024. The projects serve sectors such as telecoms, retail, and energy, reflecting the growing adoption of solar power in Brazil. As of 2023, Brazil ranks sixth globally in installed photovoltaic solar power capacity, with 37.4 GW. Solar power is the second most widely used source in the country’s electricity matrix, following hydroelectricity.
