DAS Solar energizes Chongren with agrivoltaics

The 100 MW Forestry Agrivoltaics Project in Hengbu Town, Chongren County, China, developed by Guangdong Energy Group with DAS Solar as the module supplier, has been connected to grid. Located in Jiangxi Province, Chongren County benefits from a subtropical with abundant sunshine, the project leverages the elevation difference between PV modules and the ground to enhance local economic growth. The project is expected to generate approximately 103 million kWh of clean electricity annually, reducing CO2 emissions by 86,000 tons and saving 32,000 tons of standard coal. According to DAS Solar, its innovation in agrivoltaics, forestry agrivoltaics, and fishing agrivoltaics integrates PV power with traditional agriculture, enhancing land ecology and boosting the local rural economy’s sustainability.
