Graphic Packaging International, sustainable consumer packaging company and Zelestra, Renewable Energy company, have signed a virtual Power Purchase Agreement (vPPA) in Spain. This agreement will provide renewable energy from two of Zelestra's upcoming solar projects, José Cabrera and Socovos II, with a combined capacity of 83 MW. Graphic Packaging will receive guarantees of origin for approximately 86% of the output, increasing their purchased renewable electricity in Europe to 70% and supporting their goal to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50.4% by 2032.
