Grandweld Shipyards, a UAE-based shipbuilding company, plans to achieve 100% of its energy needs through solar power by the end of next year. The company currently meets 50% of its energy requirements with a production capacity of 569 kW following the completion of Phase One of its solar project. Phase Two, expected to conclude next year, will increase the total solar power capacity to 1.3 MW. This initiative aligns with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, the Net Zero Emissions Strategy 2050, and DEWA’s clean energy goals.
