GoodWe’s Polaris Series, part of its BIPV range, addresses challenges in agricultural solar roofs by powering a black sheep farm, in Liangshan, China. Traditional PV panels have a low load-bearing capability, which makes them unsuitable for agricultural roofs, while also presenting the risk of water leakage and dirt accumulation. GoodWe says Polaris is designed to overcome these issues, serving as the roofing material while generating energy efficiently. Its design includes a drainage system for superior waterproofing and 2+2 mm reinforced glass to enhance brightness, insulation, and durability against adverse weather. As per GoodWe, Polaris offers fast and easy installation with each panel taking less than 2 minutes to install. This Polaris installation project is anticipated to revolutionize traditional farming practices, providing a sustainable and eco-friendly solution for livestock farming.
