Us-based Scenic Hill Solar (SHS) has successfully commissioned operations for a 1.2 MW DC solar project in Stuttgart, Arkansas. This project is notable for being the first to use First Solar’s Series 7 TR1 PV modules, which is claimed by SHS to have the lowest carbon and water footprint among commercially available PV modules and the first to achieve the EPEAT Climate+ designation. The Stuttgart Solar Project began operations in early 2024. As part of the American Made, Arkansas Built Initiative launched in 2022, the project is a collaboration with First Solar and other American manufacturers to promote American-made solar and storage technologies. Partners in the project included Axium Solar for electrical work, DC Solar for mechanical work, and PMI of Little Rock for civil work. The project also features the Array Technologies Dura Track H2 single-axis tracking system.
