SolAmerica Energy, LLC, based in Atlanta, has secured a deal with First Solar to acquire 205 MW of Series 6 Plus and Series 7 thin film solar modules, scheduled for delivery in 2024 and 2025. The modules will be utilized in various solar projects across Georgia, reinforcing SolAmerica’s commitment to American solar. First Solar, known for its advanced, responsibly produced thin film PV modules, holds the status of the largest solar manufacturer in the Western Hemisphere. The company is on track to expand its operational capacity from 6 GW to 14 GW in the US and reach 25 GW globally by 2026.
