First Solar has acquired a 1.2 million sq. ft. facility in Ohio, formerly Peloton Output Park, to serve as a new distribution center supporting its Ohio manufacturing expansion by nearly a gigawatt this year. With this acquisition, the company says that it aims to enhance its logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and contribute to the company’s cost reduction goals. The flexible space could potentially function as a satellite manufacturing site in the long term. The Ohio manufacturing footprint currently includes three facilities with a combined annual capacity of about 6 GW by the end of 2023.
