FCC Ámbito and Iberdrola team up for PV panel recycling

FCC Ámbito and Iberdrola have joined forces in a strategic partnership, building on their successful work with EnergyLoop. This time, the companies are focusing on advancing the industrial-scale recycling of photovoltaic panels. They’ve just opened a new recycling plant in Cadrete, Zaragoza, which will be a hub for testing out new and innovative ways to recycle solar panels on an industrial scale. Their main goal is to achieve complete circularity, which means using materials from old panels to make brand new ones. As part of the agreement, they will also look into opportunities for public support to boost recycling efforts.
