Denmark-based European Energy has successfully grid-connected a 54 MW solar park near Debnica in West Pomerania, Poland, recently. This facility, expected to generate over 50 GWh of electricity annually—enough to power approximately 13,500 European households—has increased the company’s operating capacity in Poland from 131 MW to nearly 200 MW. The project is part of European Energy’s broader renewable energy efforts in Poland, where it is advancing nearly 4 GW of wind, solar, and battery projects, alongside 1.6 GW of screening initiatives. Financing for the Debnica solar park, along with the Lobez solar park currently under construction, was secured in August 2024, with mBank providing EUR 33.3 million.
