EOS Investment Management Group (EOS IM) has acquired six solar greenfield projects in Italy from Lightsource bp, adding a 294 MW portfolio to its existing solar assets in the country. The projects, part of EOS ReNewable Infra Fund II, focus on agri-PV initiatives, combining power generation with sheep grazing, honey production, and cultivation for biodiversity protection. Construction is set to commence within the next year as the portfolio progresses through permitting or late-stage development. The sale allows Lightsource bp to reinvest and expand its presence in the Italian market, supporting over 1 GW of mature solar projects and a significant energy storage pipeline.
