US-based Enphase Energy, Inc., has launched a DIY permit plan feature within its Solargraf platform for US solar installers. According to Enphase, the feature leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate permitting, cutting plan creation time by up to 95%. Installers can now generate permit plans in under 10 minutes. This streamlines a traditionally complex process affected by over 16,000 regulatory bodies and 245 utility providers. The tool converts proposal designs into permit-ready plans, generates single-line diagrams compliant with the National Electrical Code, and uses real-time data integration. Enphase claims the tool boosts productivity, lowers costs, and enhances workflow efficiency. Over 300 permit plans have already been completed across 50 AHJs. Enphase anticipates the tool will support end-to-end project efficiency on any device.
