US-based Enphase Energy has secured a safe harbor agreement with US-based IGS Solar to boost deployment of its IQ8 Microinverters from US facilities. This partnership enables IGS Solar to lock in domestic content requirements, aiding installation partners in meeting Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) qualifications. Enphase’s IQ8HC Microinverters with “DOM” suffix SKUs, paired with US-made solar equipment, qualify for IRA’s domestic content bonus tax credit. This benefits commercial asset owners, including those with power purchase agreements or residential solar leases. Solar installers like Venture Solar, Momentum Solar, and Ecohouse Solar will install US-made IQ8 Microinverters on IGS Solar-owned projects. As per Enphase, this ensures tax credit eligibility. Enphase recommends consulting legal or tax professionals to confirm eligibility.
