Enphase Energy applauds Dutch Senate’s solar decision on metering 

Enphase Energy has expressed its approval for the Dutch Senate’s decision to reject a bill discontinuing net energy metering (NEM), preserving benefits for residential solar customers in the Netherlands. The decision is foreseen to maintain a sub-five-year payback for solar-only systems. Enphase advocates for integrating batteries and energy management for solar investment longevity. Enphase’s solar plus battery systems aim to optimize energy usage, avoid solar export penalties, and support dynamic tariffs and virtual power plants. Enphase predicts a nearly tripled lifetime savings for homeowners participating in dynamic tariffs and VPPs, with expected support implementation by 2024.
