UAE-based Etihad Clean Energy Development and Emirates Airline have signed an agreement to develop a large-scale solar energy project at the Emirates Engineering Centre in Dubai. The 23.177 MW project involves the installation of 39,960 solar panels, which will generate an estimated 34.3 million kWh annually, covering 37% of the center’s energy consumption. The company claims this will reduce CO2 emissions by over 13,000 tons each year. The project includes development, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and a 20-year operation and maintenance service agreement.
