Madrid headquartered Zelestra announced full commercial operations at the 6.5 MW DC Ginosa solar plant in Puglia, Italy. The project marked the first operational asset in its Italian portfolio of over 1.4 GW of solar and battery storage projects. The agrivoltaic project has supported about 50 construction jobs and operated under a 10-year PPA with BKW Energy, alongside the planned 9.5 MW (DC) Bellomo project in Sicily. Located in Taranto province, Ginosa is expected to produce 11.7 GWh annually by supplying electricity to around 4,000 homes and reducing about 3,700 tons of CO₂ emissions per year. Zelestra also closed a €13 million green financing linked to Ginosa and Bellomo, secured FER X auction contracts for up to 168 MW of new solar capacity in December 2025.
