Wood Mackenzie, a UK–based energy research company, has recently released its "H1 2025 Global Solar Inverter Manufacturer Rankings". Wood Mackenzie has ranked Huawei first with 93.9 score and Sungrow second at 93.7 in the rankings. The evaluation assesses 23 manufacturers from seven countries, where top 10 hold 71% market share across its weighted criteria. Wood Mackenzie ranks inverter manufacturers using eight weighted criteria like ESG and R&D, alongside new benchmarks for warranties and regional production. As per the standings, the companies under evaluation represented approximately 90% of global inverter shipment volumes for 2024. All top 10 manufacturers were reported to offer warranty extensions of 20 years or more. The ranking also stated that eight of the top 10 manufacturers reinvested more than 6% of revenue into research and development. Wood Mackenzie has designated “Grade A” status to 15 inverter manufacturers, who have met at least five benchmark performance criteria. Recently, Wood Mackenzie has ranked JA Solar and Trinasolar top globally for H1 2025 module manufacturing ranking.
