Watson Farley & Williams, an international law firm, has advised a consortium of lenders on a €612 million (~ $721.90 million) financing granted to Repsol for a Spanish renewable energy portfolio. The portfolio comprised of wind and photovoltaic assets with a total installed capacity exceeding 700 MW. The lender group includes Banco Sabadell, Abanca, CaixaBank, BNP Paribas, UniCredit and the Instituto de Crédito Oficial. The transaction marked Repsol’s second renewable project financing. A previous €348 million (~ $410.47 million) financing had been secured in December 2024. The advisory work was led by the firm’s Madrid-based energy and banking team, with regulatory support from its Madrid office and English law advice provided by its London team.
