VinEnergo, the renewable energy arm of Vietnam’s Vingroup, has announced a global expansion with development agreements secured for 10 GW renewable energy portfolio across Asia and Europe. The company plans to increase its deployed renewable capacity to 100 GW within three years, including 50 GW in key international markets such as North America, Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia. In Northern Europe, VinEnergo partnered with GreenGo Energy to develop 2 GW of renewable projects in Denmark and Sweden with plans to expand capacity in the region to 6.2 GW. In the Philippines, the company signed agreements to develop 3.8 GW of solar projects, including 1.3 GW with NKS Renewables, 1.2 GW with URG Asia Corporation and 1.3 GW with 11.11 Growth Properties across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. VinEnergo will hold more than 80% ownership in these co-development projects and act as the primary developer responsible for financing, construction and operations. Several projects were started development in early 2026, with commercial operations expected between 2027 and 2028.
