Madrid, Spainbased Velto Renewables has completed its acquisition of the 9.2 MW Milhat solar plant from Q ENERGY in Lafitte-Vigordane, France. The project was built on a restored quarry and was spread across 9 hectares. It used more than 15,800 panels and was supplying electricity for about 5,800 residents each year. It also was avoiding around 3,146 tons of COâ‚‚ annually through its output. The site has operated as a dual-use facility with sheep grazing maintained through land-management measures. Independent agricultural monitoring is ensuring grass quality and animal welfare. The acquisition has aligned with a wider collaboration framework between Velto Renewables and Q ENERGY. The framework was enabling continued cooperation and possible future project transfers between the companies.
