Spanish engineering firm Tresca Ingeniería, S.A. has announced an agreement with Sunwafe. The scope covered the comprehensive development of a silicon wafer and ingot plant at ZALIA, Gijón. The scope includes owner’s engineering, full project management, and basic and detailed engineering. The plant aspires to produce 2,500 million wafers per year before 2030. The contract is signed at InnoEnergy’s headquarters in Madrid. The project is linked to industrial activity in Asturias, with continued focus on local workforce and employment.
