TAURON Polska Energia has signed a loan agreement with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK). The financing was provided under Poland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan known locally as Krajowy Plan Odbudowy (KPO). BGK has granted PLN 268.7 million (~ $74.8 million) to support the construction of two photovoltaic farms. The projects are located in Mysłowice and Ogrodzieniec and have a combined capacity of 120 MW, including associated infrastructure. The agreement was signed at the Ministry of Climate and Environment as part of the Renewable Energy Sources Programme under KPO. TAURON reported an existing renewable energy portfolio of 649 MW, with additional capacity under construction and newly permitted projects progressing during 2025. The company also signed an annex under the KPO Digitalization programme, increasing loan support by PLN 110 million (~ $30.62 million). BGK stated that the financing formed part of KPO-backed funding for energy generation, grid modernization, storage and transmission projects across Poland.
