French solar‑as‑a‑service company, SunLib and Épopée Gestion have announced partnership to accelerate the deployment of turnkey photovoltaic installations in France. SunLib offers a solar self-consumption solution through a long-term subscription model, removing upfront costs and simplifying access for individuals, businesses, and local authorities. Épopée Gestion is providing €25 million (~ $29.05 million) to support SunLib’s growth in the subscription market, increasing its capacity to equip 100,000 customers by 2030. Subscribers pay a monthly fee with no down payment or credit, covering feasibility studies, installation, operation, and guarantees throughout the contract period. SunLib operates through more than 300 certified local installers and distributes via major retailers. Only 2.5 % of households in France are equipped with photovoltaic systems as compared with 15 % in Germany, and the model addresses this gap. The funding finances equipment for thousands of new subscribers from 2026 onward and supports local installer activity.
