Berlin-based power producer SUNCATCHER has obtained a €12 million loan to fund solar and battery storage projects in Germany. The financing, arranged at the holding company level, covered two ready-to-build sites and two more planned in Saxony-Anhalt. The portfolio included 22 MW and 16 MWh systems, along with additional 19 MW and 13 MWh installations. The battery systems were designed as “Grünstromspeicher” to store renewable power for self-consumption and load management. Capcora served as exclusive financial advisor, while GVW GRAF VON WESTPHALEN provided legal counsel and 8.2 conducted technical due diligence. The financing was among the first in Germany for hybrid PV-BESS projects operating without grid charging rights or InnoA subsidy support.
