SolarPower Europe, a Belgium-based solar industry association, has released 'Engineering, Procurement & Construction Best Practice Guidelines Version 3.0'. In its third edition, the guidelines have strengthened standards for utility-scale hybrid solar and storage systems. Expanded guidance has addressed hybrid PV and battery energy storage integration across engineering, delivery and commissioning interfaces. The updated risk management chapter has complemented the Technical Due Diligence Best Practice Guidelines for Hybrid Utility PV and BESS. Climate risks such as hail have been highlighted with stronger design and procurement measures. The revised health and safety chapter has addressed robotic solar module installation systems to reduce repetitive lifting risks. Cybersecurity guidance has recommended secure logins and separated networks to protect control systems. More than 30 experts from the Lifecycle Quality Workstream have contributed to this edition.
