Spanish developer Solarig has connected the 62 MW Arco 8 photovoltaic plant to the 66 kV grid in Seville, located between Sanlúcar la Mayor and Huévar del Aljarafe. Owned by Foresight, the project covers more than 100 hectares and includes 102,720 PV modules. It is expected to supply electricity to around 30,000 homes and avoid over 27,000 tons of COâ‚‚ annually. With this commissioning Solarig now operates seven solar plants in Andalusia, totaling 351 MW (288 MW (AC)) under its EPC model. Globally, the company has connected 1.6 GW across Spain and Italy and is currently constructing the 200 MW Entrenúcleos complex in Seville, with total regional investments estimated at approximately €280 million.
