US-based renewable energy developer The SolarGroup (TSG) has announced a strategic partnership with Celestial Solar International (CSI), an Africa-focused solar infrastructure provider. The alliance aims to develop utility-scale solar capacity across Africa, spanning projects of 50 MW to 550 MW. According to the announcement, the collaboration combines financial and technical resources from TSG with regional execution experience from CSI. The companies have stated that project development activities are expected to begin in early 2026. Initial PV installations under the partnership are targeted for completion within one year from the start of development. The announcement has described the initiative as a multi-project development pipeline rather than a single project.
