A French based Smart Energies has announced the closing of a financing operation with Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels. Nearly €50 million (~ $58.19 million) is secured through the financing transaction. The financing supports the construction of 165 rooftop photovoltaic power plants. The portfolio represents 43 MW of total financed capacity. Installations are distributed across mainland France and Corsica. By the end of 2026, these new power plants are expected to produce 48 GWh low carbon electricity annually which is equivalent to around 320 million kilometres travelled by an electric car. Smart Energies has a portfolio of around 900 solar plants in operation and under construction, with a combined capacity of 250 MW.
