Essen headquartered RWE has been awarded Contracts for Difference in UK Allocation Round 7 (AR7) for five solar PV projects. It has also been awarded contracts for three onshore wind projects with a combined maximum capacity of 290 MW. The projects secured strike prices of GBP 65.23 per MWh for 215 MW of solar and GBP 72.24 per MWh for 76 MW of onshore wind. The awarded capacity expected to power around 240,000 homes per annum. RWE’s UK portfolio includes more than 30 operational onshore wind farms with a total capacity of 730 MW. It also includes four operational solar PV sites totalling 185 MW, including the Langford project in Devon. Approximately 440 MW of solar PV projects are currently under construction. About 230 MW of onshore wind projects are also under construction.
